Orbs and pickups
Orbs are the game’s XP pickup. They come from four places:
| Source | Amount |
|---|---|
| Killing an NPC or player | min(floor(tier^(2/3)), 7) orbs sharing the payout |
| Leaving the server | 15 % of your multiplier gain + 1 000, at your last position |
| The NoobVanish star event | every living NPC becomes an orb |
| Orb Rain products | 100 orbs at a fixed value |
Behaviour
Section titled “Behaviour”- Orbs merge on contact unless flagged otherwise, so clusters consolidate into one big pickup.
- Size and colour scale with the tier of the XP inside.
- Lifetime is
10 x sqrt(RNG + 2)seconds. Special orbs withRNG = -1last a flat 45 seconds. - Players with PvP enabled get priority on orbs through a short lock window. Pacifists wait.
Every orb also feeds the activity system: +0.01 server ActivityBoost and +0.005 personal
activity each. Hoovering up a big pile is worth more than the XP alone.
The rejoin drop
Section titled “The rejoin drop”The orbs dropped by leaving are not dropped if you died, or if you were standing in spawn when you left. Walk onto the map before you go if you want to collect on the way back.
SkyDrop
Section titled “SkyDrop”The SkyDrop button in spawn teleports you to a random map position on a 1 second cooldown. It is blocked while you are combat-tagged or already outside spawn. Because XP scales with distance from spawn, this is the fastest way to reach the valuable east side.
