Control points
Two capture pads on the map. Standing on one alone for 5 seconds claims it. Holding one multiplies your idle XP, and how much depends entirely on server activity.
| Pad | Multiplies your idle XP by |
|---|---|
| Hill | 1 + (activity ÷ 1.5) |
| Castle | 1 + activity |
| Both | 1 + activity + (activity ÷ 1.5) |
Each pad has a floor of +10 %, so even on a dead server holding one is worth 1.1x.
What that means in practice
Section titled “What that means in practice”| Server activity | Hill | Castle | Both |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0 — empty server | 1.1x | 1.1x | 1.2x |
| 1 | 1.67x | 2x | 2.67x |
| 5 | 4.33x | 6x | 9.33x |
| 20 | 14.3x | 21x | 34.3x |
| 100 — just after a Hyper Star | 67.7x | 101x | 168x |
This is the single biggest income multiplier in the game on a busy server, and close to worthless on an empty one. The pad itself displays the current figure as “X % Idle XP Gain!”, so you can read it before deciding whether it’s worth fighting for.
Where server activity comes from
Section titled “Where server activity comes from”| Event | Activity |
|---|---|
| A player joins | +0.05 |
| An enemy dies | +0.02 |
| An orb is collected | +0.01 |
| Lucky Star activity roll | +10 |
| Hyper Star activity roll | +100 |
It decays by 1 % per second, so it reflects what is happening right now, not what happened an hour ago. It caps at 199 999.
Because a Hyper Star can add +100 in one hit, the moments right after one are when these pads are worth the most — a castle held at that moment is paying over 100x.
Capturing
Section titled “Capturing”- One person on the pad — you capture in 5 seconds
- Two or more — contested, nobody gets it
- Pacifists are ignored — PvP must be on to capture at all
Holding a point means being killable. That is the trade.
The castle is on the east side and the only way up is the truss tower next to it.
